Well, its been a while since last. Today there was some kayak tourney out of the harbor, but I decided I had too much going on to deal with a kayak, so I took it as a sign that I should hit the beach.
On the way I looked at Newbrighton, but it looked kelpy. When rigging up at Manresa, one of the surfers in the parking lot came over to say 'hi'; turns out he's on the fishing board as well, and recognized me.
New setup today, to the new shooting line out -- the hi-vis 30lb sufix elite -- and its great. No need to stretch it, slick and stiff, and no problems gripping it. I think I can use this for 'yak fishing too, just different tackle on the terminal end.
But no fish.. maybe I'm out too late, and the tide is wrong (what is the tide, anyway???). I fished from about 10:15 - 11:30 or so.
