OMG, first outing of the new year??

Aaaaannnnyway..
I packed the car and headed for an unannounced fishing trip, to see how the beaches are doing. Drove down to Manresa (flat and bad feeling), looked at Palm (flat and same bad feeling) then drove down to Moss Landing where I saw structure.
Of course, the surf was also wilder, making fishing kindof hard.
But the bait guys weren't catching anything either.
I'm feeling like I'm back in the winter rut, where I don't find any fish.
Saw some turkey vultures up the beach.. sheesh, I should have taken the camera instead. Lots of bird life around. Once I start going to Salinas for the tech work, I think I'll stop by here and do a little photography. Maybe some fishing too..
