Hauling 'em in. 12 fish today!!!
I head down to the beach kinda late this morning, get to Seascape Resort around 10:30. I rig up the TCR #6 with the sinker, a surf miki and head down to the water. On my way down I meet a fisherman on his way up, with a 2foot striper. "Nice catch". He caught it around 10:15 or so, on a silver and black surface plug. I keep going, thinking that maybe I should shoot for stripers today.
Anyway, I start casting pretty much straight out from the beach entrance. On the first cast, I hook an nice BSP and land it. Same for the 2nd cast. On the 5th I get another. Good start. It basically continues like that, I come up with 3 measurment categories (#1 handle front to back of reel knob, #2 HF to rubber on fighting but, #3 HF to end of fighting butt). I get about 2 #3's, a bunch of #2s, and one #3+. I'll need to translate that into inches, but I think around 13"+ for the big one.
The area I'm fishing is pretty flat, with waves coming in. Some foamers, but its a bit mixed. Weather is overcast. Tide is incoming.
After 12 fish, I take a break and consider. I need to pee.. time is running short. I'm wondering if I should switch to the floater for a little bit, but decide against it and head back up. Nice morning. I should start bringing a camera again.
