Can't let it go.

Ya know, dangit, here I am, almost 40, and I'm still interested in these creatures. I saw my first snake down in Liberia, a night adder someone had caught, feeding on little toads. I was 7, maybe. Ever since, I've thought snakes were some of the most interesting beautiful creatures around. These days, when I get the bug, I go on the internet for snake-reading binges. I also live within driving distance of the East Bay Vivarium, where I can visit, look, hold..

Here is a nice pacific gopher snake (Pituophis catenifer catenifer) I photographed out at Wilder Ranch, just outside of Santa Cruz.

www.kingsnake.com seems to have all that is needed.

Currently I'm interested in woma pythons, mandarin rat snakes, brazilian rainbow boas, and am thinking about the possibility of aquiring nice corn snake (wow, they are beautiful) to start out with again..

Some of these creatures fetch high prices for hatchlings.. 500 - 1000 bucks, which of course makes me wonder about the feasability of breeding.

Need house.. need space.. need time.
